IMSI Treatment
A refined sperm selection method using high magnification to identify the best sperm.
Why IMSI?
Technical Perfection
Seeing more means choosing better, providing a stronger foundation for a successful pregnancy.
- High-end digital imaging
- Specially trained embryologists
- Precision selection
What is IMSI?
IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection) is a real-time method where sperm are selected under a digital microscope that can magnify them up to 6000 times. Standard ICSI magnification only reaches about 400 times.
The Benefit of High Magnification
By seeing the sperm at such extreme magnification, embryologists can detect tiny structural defects (such as vacuoles in the sperm head) that are invisible under standard magnification. These defects are often linked to fragmented DNA and poor embryo development.
When is IMSI Recommended?
IMSI is typically recommended for couples who have had multiple failed IVF or ICSI cycles, recurrent miscarriages, or where the male partner has severe morphology issues. It is a premium technique aimed at selecting the "perfect" sperm for injection.
Expertise at Our Clinic
Dr. Nalini Gupta's facility is one of the few equipped with the high-end digital imaging systems required for IMSI. Our embryologists are specifically trained in morphologically selecting sperm, resulting in significantly higher success rates for challenging cases.
